I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
